I am interested in what I think of as reverse art: using what can be heard and seen to approach what cannot be heard or seen.

I think about sound not only for what it is, but for where it can lead us. The sound we hear is not the destination. It is a way toward something that cannot be heard directly. I think about the visual in the same way. What we see is not necessarily what the work is about. The visible can lead us toward what cannot be seen.

β€”β€”β€”β€”

The audible toward the inaudible. Compose what cannot be heard.

The visible toward the invisible. Make visible what cannot be seen.
